Matsukiya has been synonymous with Omi Beef since the early Meiji period (1868–1912), when the company first helped spread its name across Japan. This restaurant carries that legacy forward, serving Omi Beef in teppanyaki, steak, sukiyaki, shabu-shabu, and full-course set meals.

The restaurant’s heritage was further recognized when Matsukiya was honored as an Imperial Household Purveyor during the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras — a mark of Japan’s highest culinary distinction, comparable to a royal warrant.

Matsukiya features one of the largest teppanyaki counters in Japan, with 31 seats. Guests can enjoy a live cooking performance as chefs prepare premium Omi Beef on a custom-made iron plate 3 centimeters thick — the sizzling sound, aroma, and dynamic knife work creating an unforgettable dining experience.

Beyond the counter, Matsukiya offers a range of settings to suit any occasion: six private dining rooms for intimate gatherings, and a spacious second-floor banquet hall that seats up to 100 guests and can be divided into six sections — ideal for larger groups and events.
