餐厅“宽闲观（kankankan）”以日本三大和牛之一的“近江牛”的牛肉为主菜，烹饪出各式各样的牛肉料理供您享用。它是去年（2023年）刚开业的新店。“宽闲观”为日本历史上首次印刷“近江牛”这一名称的杂志。老板的先祖与此杂志还有一段渊源，于是其继承了此名，开办了宽闲观餐厅。
以酱油和砂糖为底味烹制的日本传统牛肉食用方法“寿喜烧”，是本店的推荐菜，自开业以来一直倍受欢迎。此外，招牌菜“石烧”是请顾客自己动手切肉、再将厚牛排肉放在定制石板上烤制而成，是一道让人非常难忘的体验型料理。
从“近江八幡”站南口搭乘出租车只需5分多钟。欢迎您前来品尝代表日本的美味！

昭和初期之前，八幡堀一直是当地人们经济和流通要道。运河沿岸，白土墙仓库及旧时民居林立，讲述着当时繁荣景象。近年，这里作为观光名胜获得修缮，码头等处得以复原。此外，这里作为影视拍摄地也颇为有名，动画作品《浪客剑心》也曾在八幡堀拍摄。
八幡堀种植着樱花与花菖蒲，除了观赏四季风光，还可乘坐观光船游览。
