The restaurant Kankankan is the place to enjoy a variety of beef dishes. We primarily serve Omi Beef, one of the three greats of Japanese wagyu beef. We are a new restaurant that only opened recently, in 2023. Our name comes from a pamphlet associated with our family, upon which the name of “Omi Beef” was stamped for the first in recorded Japanese history.
Sukiyaki is a traditional Japanese way of eating beef, cooked in a base of soy sauce and sugar. It is our specialty and has proven to be an extremely popular dish for us since we opened our doors. Our signature dish is called Ishiyaki; an unforgettable culinary experience in which diners grill their own thickly sliced morsels of steak on custom-made slabs of hot stone.
We are located a short 5-minute taxi ride from the south exit of Omihachiman Station. Come and experience cuisine truly representative of the best Japan has to offer.
