Biwako Backroads offers a series of guided tours for inbound tourists, based out of Maibara Station in Shiga Prefecture. Operating across the Kohoku region and with a concept of encountering the everyday lives of the Japanese people and the untouched nature that you can’t find at the more famous tourist spots, Biwako Backroads offers such experiences as soba noodle making, sake brewing, and bicycle tours, with departure points including JR Maibara Station and JR Nagahama Station.
