Saimyoji Temple, Kongourinji Temple and Hyakusaiji Temple stand on the east side of Lake Biwa in Shiga. Together these three Tendai Sect temples are called the “Koto Sanzan,” and each of them is a famous and historic site of more than 1000 years.
